Drawing a Tulip
In this easy pencil drawing tutorial, I’ll show you how to draw a simple object like a tulip. This pencil drawing tutorial for beginners covers looking for the shapes in the tulip and how to get the proportion of the shapes correct in your drawing. It also covers how to create and draw edges with graphite so when you draw a tulip it will be wonderful. This pencil tutorial also explains that the initial drawing is part of the whole drawing of the tulip and shouldn’t be removed. Finally, I demonstrate how to create subtle edges and lines to create the character of the flower, in this case the tulip drawing.
Teenagers and above should find this pencil drawing tutorial useful. It will also be useful for beginners to drawing or those wanting to improve their drawing skills and techniques.

Are you an Artist?
At Paul Priestley’s Art World, we believe being an artist is a twofold process. It’s a combination between skills, techniques, creativity and the ability to see things in a way others often can’t. Some people become obsessed with learning the techniques of drawing and painting, but that only takes you so far. Passion and the creativity to experiment and make mistakes are essential.
You will only become an artist if …
Remember that no one in the world draws and paints like you do. Be proud of the fact. Be proud of the fact. As an artist seek an individual vision, and don’t let anyone say you haven’t got that. Paul Priestley art tutorials are taught with lots of passion, creativity and with a simple step by step approach to drawing that will inspire everyone. Our art tutorials will help you create your individual vision.
